A suspect was arrested by immigration officials over the weekend in connection with a fatal car crash that killed three people and left one seriously injured outside San Francisco.
Authorities reported that Ismael Huazo-Jardinez, 33, failed to make a turn on Highway 113 before crashing his vehicle into a trailer home on Saturday.
Jose and Anna Pacheco and their 10-year-old son were killed in the crash. The family’s 11-year-old daughter was injured but is expected to survive.
Local police say Huazo-Jardinez tried to leave the scene on foot but he was stopped by some neighbors. Authorities also believe Huazo-Jardinez was under the influence at the time of the crash.
